About Petra Postmus; She is a Dutch interiordesigner and decorator for ‘Timeless Chic Interiors’. Her interior design studio is based on the Greek Riviera. Petra and her husband and their beloved dachshunds recently moved from Utrecht in the Netherlands to Porto Heli in Greece. They have a lovely house on the hill with lots of olive trees and with a beautiful view on the sea, where they enjoy the sun and the beauty of Greece.
Her pleasure is to create a ‘Castle’ for her clients, all infused with a fresh modern sensibility. She is known for her surprising use of colours, and she likes to mix and match old with new for nice contrasts. In the end she is creating an interior that is in harmony and in balance and feels warm and elegant. Most important that people feel at home and feel happy to enjoy the company of their beloved ones in their house.
Her inspiration: from old castles, The English Crown, the Mediterean Greek life, the French joy de vivre, to visits to International Interior Fairs in Milan, Paris and London, she finds inspiration everywhere. ‘If you look carefully, inspiration is everywhere’
Her clients: both Residential en Commercial. From hotelroom, restaurant, living room, meeting room, whiskyroom, outside porch, kitchen, bathroom to childrensroom, she loves every challenging project. From concept to completion. With satisfied customers as a result.
High end suppliers: She works with the most beautiful brands of high quality. And visiting antique markets for finding that unigue piece of decoration is the way she can make an interior more special. Mixing old with new gives an interior more character.
Her approach: From an interior concept for the space she creates an interior design. The Clients brief of style and atmosphere is important in this process. She tries to surprise her clients with surprising colour palettes, a different floor plan with the best materials, furniture, upholstery, curtains and decorations to create an interior that is elegant, warm and in balance. Where it feels good. Making the world a bit more beautiful, and making the people happy..that is her goal.
Award and publications: She feels happy that her work has been published in different international magazines like 25 beautiful Homes, Zuhause Wohnen, American Farmhouse, Wonen Landelijke Stijl, Herenhuis and Ariadne at Home. And that she could do the design of a restaurant for Dutch TV for Hotel Spaander. In 2015 she became a ‘keurmerkstylist’ in the Netherlands, then you belong to the top of Dutch stylists. Recently she has won The APR International Interior Design Award for Residential Concept.
